Luau Party!

Great for good weather parties! If your birthday person has always wanted to go to Hawaii, why not bring Hawaii to them! Get bamboo tiki torches to light the yard, add island music, and a barbecue. Many caterers will provide a roast pig to serve as your main dish!

Decorations: Cover your table with a bright, tropical tablecloth and attach a straw or grass skirt around the entire table. Your centerpiece could be a fresh pineapple or a stuffed parrot with balloons attached. Place colorful lei's in a basket and let each guest choose 3 or 4 to wear. Balloons in the shape of palm trees, fish, and birds, will help to create an island atmosphere. Drape netting over a wall and decorate with plastic tropical fish. Serve snacks in straw baskets and tropical drinks with paper umbrellas and fresh fruit.

Limbo: What self-respecting islander would go to a party and not limbo? You can use a broom stick or get crazy and purchase a self lighted limbo stick. Prizes go to the guests who can limbo the lowest!!
