Cowboy / Cowgirl
Birthday Party!
Age 4-11

Hurray! Pony rides! Arrange to have ponies at your home so everyone can be a cowboy or cowgirl. And if you can't get a pony, check your yellow pages, get the western style!

Decorations: Surround the cake with a fence that encloses a herd of ponies. If possible have the food served outdoors. If you don't have enough seating, use bales of hay, blankets, etc. Purchase cowboy/cowgirl hats to give to each guest. If the children are old enough, consider a campfire for toasting wieners and marshmallows.

Rope the calf: Set up a few different items and let the children try to lasso them. These can be in the form of prizes and they get to keep whatever they rope in!
